Supply the original 1.30 or 1.40 schema only when you have concrete sufficient processing rights. Public availability and local BYO are not permission. No official schema, restricted account list, Schematron or plugin is bundled or downloaded automatically.

Give source, publisher, version, validity, acquisition date, rights basis and notices for every file. Reports calculate original-byte SHA256 and distinguish a supplied schema from the inspected official bytes. Matching bytes grant no rights.

Know what was checked

XML syntax, supplied XSD, independent business checks, plausibility and unchecked context have separate statuses. Unknown version/profile leaves business checks unexecuted; no full green approval.
Transactions across journals, posting-line debit/credit choice, exact decimal transaction balance, ledger totals and counts. Amount means the base Amount, not an unconverted foreign CurrencyAmount.
Ordered selection dates or accounting periods; real dates and GLPostingDate within the date extraction. TransactionDate may differ. Special accounting periods need review, with no calendar-month assumption. Historical 1.30 versus 2027+ checked.
Account/customer/supplier references, unique IDs in their scope, grouping category/code presence and tax type/code links to TaxTable. Official mapping membership, meaning and rates remain unchecked.

No tax assessment, audit acceptance or complete financial correctness. Opening/closing reconciliation, currency conversion and SourceDocuments business checks are outside scope. SAF-T is commonly provided on request for an inspection; this is not a mandatory monthly filing tool.

Official versions and rights

Skatteetaten says 1.40 can be used now and is required from 1 January 2027; 1.20/1.30 remain for earlier financial years through 2026. This tool checks only 1.30 and 1.40. Rechecked 6 November 2026.
