Read each layer separately
- XML: hardened syntax check after a bounded streaming preflight. Maximum 100,000 elements, 80 levels and 10,000 elements in one retained record.
- XSD: not executed without an authorised supplied schema. A user-supplied subset proves only that subset; ANAF identity is reported separately by SHA256.
- Independent business rules: Transaction count versus TransactionLine count, present debit/credit totals, local MasterFiles account/customer/supplier/product references, TaxType + TaxCode membership, header interval, date/period forms, currency shape and same-currency amount equality. No external code list is bundled.
- Invoice checks: line net sum for ordinary single-direction invoices. Quantity × price, explicit tax base × percentage, net + tax + shipping and transaction balance are review warnings; rounding tolerance is 0.01. Mixed directions and settlement skip simple total arithmetic explicitly.
No complete fiscal audit, tax-rate qualification, full ANAF consistency suite or DUK/SPV acceptance. Assets, stocks, payments, movement modules and cross-segment reconciliation remain outside this lite scope. Unknown profiles never receive a complete green result.

These are independently written rule-only examples, never filing templates. Official XSD validity is not established. The DEMO tax code and invoice type are fictional. The missing SoftwareID error is verified against our own test-only XSD, which is not an ANAF schema.

Official sources and the final step
Checked 6 November 2026: the ANAF download page publishes XSD 2.4.9 (8 July 2025), Soft J updated 19 February 2026 and an XLSX dictionary updated in February 2026. The XSD root says 2.4.9 while its embedded documentation still says 2.4.8; reports preserve this boundary.
