LOCAL PAYMENT FILE CHECK · LITE / BYO

SEPA pain.001 validator

Check payment batches before the bank.

On this device. No XML upload. Rule-only sample: XSD not executed.

Find common payment-file errors locally: IBAN, counts, control sums and transfer settings. One missed field can delay a salary or supplier batch.

Check your payment XML

One file free. Local batches: existing Pro 25 / Team 100 limit. Chosen files take precedence over pasted XML; ZIP payment batches are not accepted.

ISO base schema · local BYO

Use only an authorised, self-contained XSD for the selected namespace. Up to 1 MB. No ZIP or imports/includes in this lite form. The existing multi-file XSD workbench supports bounded projects separately; its results are not merged here. Uploading a bank XSD checks that supplied subset only, never bank acceptance.

SHA256 is calculated locally for the supplied schema and included with this provenance in the JSON report. These fields apply to this one XSD only.

Optional bank schema · local BYO

The optional bank XSD is a separate structural subset. Supply it only with sufficient processing rights and the same message namespace. Bank conditions outside this schema remain unchecked. This form accepts a self-contained file up to 1 MB and refuses ZIPs and imported dependencies.

The bank schema SHA256 and the metadata you declare accompany its separate result in JSON. Passing this supplied subset does not establish complete bank-profile compliance.

XML and schema content stay in this tab. No server processing; no external entities or implicit schema downloads. Schema provenance remains in the downloadable report, never analytics. Only the last profile and example choice are remembered locally.

Ready · no checks executed.

Four separate answers

Full EPC profile and bank acceptance remain not checked. We do not check account existence, Verification of Payee / name–IBAN match, balance or cutoff. No full green result is given for an unknown bank.

Fictional examples with known scope

Valid rule-only .09 example · XSD-error candidate: missing MsgId · Extra-rule error: CtrlSum mismatch

The valid example passes the listed independent rules at reference date 2026-11-05. Both XSD validity and the missing-MsgId XSD error remain unverified until an authorised ISO XSD is supplied. The independently authored test-only XSD demonstrates error isolation; it is never presented as the ISO schema. Expected outcomes and paths.

Sources and version boundaries

ISO message catalogue and archive are authoritative. pain.001.001.13 is the newest catalogue entry checked on 5 November 2026; it does not migrate your bank automatically. This tool starts with .09; select .03 only as an explicit legacy profile.

EPC SCT implementation guidance and DK/EBICS lifecycle report the address transition delay. No hard November 2026 rejection is applied. Confirm current requirements with your bank. ARB message guidance distinguishes EUR and other-currency payment streams.

ISO repository use and reproduction are addressed by ISO IPR policy and terms of use. XSDHub is independent; ISO is the sole official source of current ISO 20022 materials. This lite release bundles no ISO, EPC, bank XSD or TVS. Public access alone is not permission to process or redistribute a bank pack.

Existing libxml2-wasm engine: MIT; libxml2: MIT. Engine licence, libxml2 licence, and SEPA scope, provenance and notices. No Schematron or new plugin is bundled.

Read a batch failure without changing the payment

Treat group totals and individual transfer values as separate evidence. If a reported count disagrees with the number of transactions, compare the exporter’s grouping logic with the actual payment blocks before changing a count by hand. Where a control sum is supplied, trace it to those transactions. A count or sum that is absent is a different situation from one that is present and inconsistent.

For a rejected account identifier, compare the original beneficiary record with the exported value. Do not invent a plausible replacement to obtain a passing result. The local check cannot establish ownership of an account. After correcting source data, regenerate the complete batch, rerun the selected profile and then follow the bank’s own submission and response procedure.

Repeat next month

Single checks stay free. Pro US$19/month: 25 files per local batch. Team US$49/month: 100, with existing account limits. Local checking follows existing batch entitlements; it does not consume server validation quota. No new client workspace is created.
